E-lending, fintech, online vehicle sales, shifting consumer finance preferences. All of these things and more are changing the shape of auto finance as we know it today.
It’s a lot to keep up with, that’s for sure. That’s why the team at Auto Remarketing Canada has filled our Auto Finance event track with industry names familiar to everyone in the auto finance biz, including Transunion, FICO, Carfinco, Bank of Montreal, GM Financial, Equifax Canada, the Canadian Finance & Leasing Association (CFLA) and more.
The Auto Remarketing Canada 2019 Agenda is Now live!
The Auto Finance track will kick off on March 19th with a General Session from Lisa Nelson, president of Equifax Canada, followed later in the day by a presentation from Carfinco, as well.
Come the second day of the event, the first block of workshops will include a session from Michael Rothe, president and CEO at CFLA. Rothe will speak on the pace of change in the finance industry — and as aforementioned, that pace is fast and getting faster. A core function of CFLA is to look around the corner, see what is coming and prepare its members for future success. Rothe will share with AR Canada attendees his insights, gleaned from meeting with finance, equipment, automotive and academic-business leaders, on why it is important to become an Insight-Driven Organization (IDO), what an IDO actually means and how to get started.
Additional Auto Finance workshops on tap for Wednesday morning include consumer credit giants Transunion and FICO. And Jeremy Belanger, Ontario Sales Manager, Industrial Alliance Dealer Services will offer tips for “Speaking the Language of Today’s F&I Buyer.” Attend this workshop, and leave with ideas that will allow you to push your limits and profits higher by engaging F&I early.
Early Bird Registration is only available for 2 more weeks. Register by Feb 21, and Save!
Lastly, the final Auto Finance General Session of the event will cover “The New Auto Fin Horizon: New Tech & Changing Tides,.” The panel discussion will be moderated by Brian Murphy, VP, editorial and research, Canadian Black Book, and auto finance industry veteran and executive chair at MotoInsight Ray O’Kane. Panelists include: Shannon Friesen, VP Dealer Services, Canada Drive; Paul Hunsley, VP, head of auto retail finance, BMO; Paul Barnes, AVP, business development, Carfinco and Howard Cobham, SVP dealer services, GM Financial.
