Have you been a fan of the Auto Remarketing Canada conference since its inception? Have you been attending for the past ten years it’s been held annually?

If so, fantastic! And if not, what are you waiting for? There are many ways to get involved beyond just attending the event, scheduled for March 19-20 in Toronto at the Westin Harbour Castle. (And once you catch wind of the speakers and industry leaders we will have all under one roof for AR Canada 2019, we think you will jump on the change when registration opens in January).

So, how do you get involved in an event that’s over three months away? (first off, trust us, three months will pass in a blink of an eye). Well, to kick off the AR Canada festivities, our sister publication, Auto Remarketing Canada, led by Senior Editor Joe Overby, is launching its 2019 Auto Remarketing Canada’s Under 40 program.

And you can be a part of this annual program by nominating the young leaders within your circle that deserve to be recognized this year and beyond. Want to review leaders that were nominated in years past? The 2018 AR Canada Under 40 awards featured folks like Alecia Wilson, director of sales at Strathcom Media; David Abitbol, VP of operations at Otolane; and Shannon Friesen, VP of dealer services, Canada Drives.

And many of Auto Remarketing Canada’s Under 40 honorees have gone on to even further promotion and leadership positions within the auto industry. For example, Kijiji Canada announced earlier this year that it has grown its leadership team with three leadership position appointments of individuals who have been named in Auto Remarketing Canada’s Remarketing’s Under 40 — two from 2018 and one from 2015. The company announced that it named Will Harris the national head of sales, autos; hired Rohit Jaitley to serve as national head of dealer groups; and hired Robert Karbaum to serve as head of business development.

In other words, the folks getting nominated for this award are leading the Canadian auto industry and more. Cutting edge, yep? Leading technology, done and done.

Looking forward to nominating folks for this year’s awards program? Make sure to take advantage of the nomination process open online. Fill out a simple form to get your colleague’s name in the running.

From dealers to auto executives, from leading professionals at third-party provider and auto finance companies — and everywhere in between — the Canadian auto industry is full of young men and women who have achieved massive success at an early age. That’s why for the fourth  consecutive year, Auto Remarketing Canada is excited to honor, “Remarketing’s Under 40.”

The AR Canada Conference has been held since 2000, and annually, since 2008. The event typically draws 500 to over 600 attendees, and 150-200 franchised and independent dealers.

Still deciding on whether to attend AR Canada 2019? Cherokee Media Group is busy crafting an expert speaker lineup for the upcoming Auto Remarketing Canada event — Canada’s Used Car Conference. A focus of the team at AR Canada for 2019 is training. Think dealer training, sales training and more. See some of the speakers already confirmed for the upcoming event. And Our Call for Speakers has been extended to December 19th!
